OmniHolo

OmniHolo

OmniHolo is a low profile omnidirectional robot, designed to be integrated with MoveTek, the scenic automation platform that I was working on for my previous employer. Designed and modeled in SolidWorks, the frame was modified and machined by a professional CNC machinist.

The robot is designed to carry a holographic screen and perform synchronized movement as instructed by the MoveTek sever.

The holographic screen should always be facing the video projector. That is why the omnidirectional movement was required.

The server synchronizes robot motion along with other controls such as digital audio & video, lighting dimmers, etc… with frame-accurate synchronization.

This is a video of the early testing stage of the platform.
