Motivation

This project is about the development of an 8 channels AC light dimmer for incandescent lights
that can be integrated into my existing smarthome platform. Each channel can be controlled
either by a physical button or through the Android app.

The most important requirement was to reduce the installation cost by using cheaper small gage
wires and standard light buttons.

• AC phase control of 8 resistive loads Up to 16  Amps @220V
• Each channel has its own EMI filter and fuse
• Synchronized control on all channels
• I2C communication with the master controller
• I2C commands for dimming one or all channels at once.
• Two I2C addresses: 0x6D, 0x6C
• I2C address is software configurable.
• Internal EEPROM to store settings
• 16 configurable user buttons
